Spring Flowering Bulbs
Spring Flowering Bulbs are best planted between September and November when the ground is easily workable and warm. This gives the bulbs a chance to establish their roots before winter sets in.
With a huge variety of Spring Flowering Bulbs to choose from, there are so many planting combinations to suit every taste, space and aspect.
With just a little prep, you could create impact in grass, borders and/or containers from around late January through to high summer.
Have you ever considered creating a ‘bulb lasagne’ (N.B. no cooking skills required here)? Simply choose 3 or more types of Spring Flowering Bulb and pot them up in a series of layers. The largest or latest flowering bulbs are planted lower down in the container, moving to the smallest and earliest bulbs nearer the surface.
This year, Taylor’s have created the simplest ‘bulb lasagne recipe’ ever, with tailored packs & easy options.
When choosing your bulbs, make sure that they are firm and not showing any signs of mould or mildew.
Although Spring Flowering Bulbs spend the winter sitting in cold, damp soil they do like good drainage so always make sure that containers have drainage holes and are raised off the ground slightly so that the bulbs don’t rot.
