Easy versatile summer colour

For versatile, easy colour all summer long you really can’t go wrong with seasonal bedding plants.

Don’t let the image of immaculate, Victorian style beds & borders put you off if that’s not your thing!

What’s great about the huge variety of annuals sold as small pots & packs of bright young plants?

Let your imagination run wild - create containers & displays that reflect you. Do you have a passion for purple, a yearning for yellow or fancy channelling your inner Barbie? Then try colour blocking. Choose blooms in varying sizes & shapes in hues of the same shade.

Experiment with your colour mix, nowadays anything goes! Gone are the days of all those colour combination myths. Gardens are rife with happy colour accidents! A self seeded flower popping up here and there. Summer bedding allows you to experiment, knowing that you won’t be stuck with it forever or have made a costly mistake.

You don’t need masses of space to create impact. If you only have a couple of window boxes or a patio table & chairs, then a couple of plants will provide a cascade of colour all summer until the first frosts.

Beginners are welcome. You don’t need experience or green fingers. Summer bedding plants are just so eager to do their thing and perform before the curtain comes down! Make sure all containers have drainage & keep plants moist. We’d always encourage you to feed and deadhead your plants to keep the flowers coming & get the most “bang for your buck”.

Use planted containers to plug a mid season gap and add some interim colour. This is also useful if you want to add some temporary colour to a shady area.

If you have a garden project in progress or suffer with poor ground & soil conditions, you can still have a varied, abundant & colourful summer space. Containers allow you to control the environment for seasonal bedding plants more easily, so you can give them exactly what they need to thrive.
